About the Cooey Model 750
One of Canada's own gunmakers, the Cooey Gun making company was founded in 1903 by Herbert William Cooey. After a brief stint with Railway he opened his factory in Toronto, Ontario. It wasn't until the outbreak of the first World War that Cooey's machine shop business evolved into Firearms Manufacturing. The factory continued under the Cooey family until it was purchased by the Winchester Company in 1961.
Cooey was famous for manufacturing good quality safe Firearms such as the Cooey model 650. The 750 evolved from that design and is sought after as a great first rifle.
